Research Interests

  • Work, family and the wellbeing of parents and their children
  • Quality of work and health inequities
  • The importance of care and close relationships for wellbeing (at work and in families), gender disparities in care-giving.
  • Time in health and environmental policy – addressing time inequities and time barriers for healthy and sustainable living
  • Intergenerational health inequities (linked to climate change) and children.

NCEPH and Families Australia hosted the first National Family Wellbeing Symposium in June last year. The focus was on the meaning and measurement of family wellbeing, to develop a framework for policy and research.
