STUDY POPULATION HEALTH AT ANU.Do you want to make a difference to public health? Are you interested in graduate study in a health-related field? Maybe you would like to learn what epidemiology, biostatistics, economics, demography or sociology have to say about health issues. As well as excellence in research, we are also proud of our training.
Students here learn by doing: you will carry out real research, under supervision, as part of your qualification. You will have the opportunity to participate in multi-disciplinary groups and large research projects that involve extensive international collaboration. This is possible because the program is closely tied to many overseas organisations, and has research projects in several different countries as well as across Australia, including in remote Aboriginal communities. Researchers are involved in several major global initiatives, including the global Network of Training Programs in Epidemiology and Public Health Interventions (TEPHINET), and are also commissioned by Australian and other governments and agencies to carry out detailed studies of specific issues. |
