Domains of research

Living in the 21st century poses real opportunities to improve human development and health - there is more knowledge than ever before about the causes of health inequities, and therefore ways to, potentially  improve human health. The rate of growth of the evidence base continues to increase.

However, the 21st century also brings new challenges for health, with many unanswered questions as we layout in our 3 domains of work below. HEG members use a mixture of methods to address the deficits in the evidence base including literature synthesis, large-scale cohort study analyses, complex systems qualitative and quantitative modelling and qualitative techniques.
