Measuring inequalities in mortality for people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities

This project will use linked whole-of-population data to quantify variation in mortality for people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. 

Specifically, this work could include: 

  • Developing methods to identify people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities living in Australia using large administrative databases 
  • Investigating the validity of linked administrave data for the purposes of measuring inequalities in mortality in relation to cultural and/or linguistic background
  • Producing contemporary estimates of mortality inequalities
