About
Anthony is an epidemiologist in the OzFoodNet Network based at the Centre for Disease Control in the Northern Territory and an Honorary Fellow at the Menzies School of Health Research in Dili, Timor-Leste. He has worked extensively with colleagues to strengthen research and communicable disease surveillance and response capacity in Timor-Leste. He has worked across the Northern Territory, Brisbane, Timor-Leste, Solomon Islands, Samoa and Papua New Guinea and helped delivered field epidemiology training (FETP) to colleagues in Australia, Timor-Leste and Vanuatu. Anthony enjoys the challenges of field epidemiology, outbreak response and working in multidisciplinary and multi-cultural teams. He has deployed with AUSMAT to disaster responses and disease outbreaks in Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Timor-Leste.
