Justine is undertaking the Master of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology (MAE), commencing in 2021. Her field placement is at Health Protection NSW.

Justine joined the MAE from Imperial College London, where she worked in neglected tropical disease research, involved in a soil-transmitted helminth and schistosomiasis transmission break project in southern Ethiopia and work to adapt qPCR technology for field-use diagnostics for soil transmitted helminths.

Prior to this, Justine worked at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine as a communications officer in maternal, sexual and reproductive health, and at the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, on projects including safety and quality education, foundation work on shared decision making and risk communication, and the first Australian Atlas of Healthcare Variation. She also spent a year as the East Asia & Pacific Regional Media and Communications Officer at HelpAge International in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Justine holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours First Class) and a Master of International Public Health.
