Bhavi Ravindran

Biography

Dr Bhavi Ravindran is a Master of Applied Epidemiology Scholar in the 2023-2024 cohort based at the Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory (VIDRL), at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity. 

Prior to the MAE, Bhavi worked as a doctor in Hunter New England Health New South Wales, the Northern Territory and most recently as a Public Health Registrar at the North Eastern Public Health Unit. 

Bhavi’s interests include communicable disease epidemiology, effects of diseases on culturally and linguistically diverse populations, and strengthening of healthcare systems particularly in regional and rural areas. 

He has completed a Bachelor of Medicine, a Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Honours) and a Master of Public Health. He is pursing advanced training through the Faculty of Public Health Medicine of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
