Portraits of a smiling woman wearing glasses and a necklace, and a smiling man with a beard in a suit and tie.

This is the fourth in a series of seminars organised by the PopulationHealthXchange (PHXchange) in order to focus attention on impact and engagement within the School. The aim is to share frameworks, tools and experience to improve capacity and capability for research impact and engagement across the School.

This seminar will focus on persistence, especially the persistence needed to achieve research impact, but also other aspects of persistence in managing a research career.  There will be short presentations by Julie Smith and David McDonald, based on their extensive research experience and the impacts of their research on breast-feeding (Julie) and illicit drugs policy (David). These will be followed by discussion and an opportunity to share your experience, as well as asking questions.
