About

The research focus of the PhD will be to understand the health burden and control impacts of interventions taken in response to Salmonella infections. The combined studies will assess the efficacy of surveillance and public health interventions to allow researchers, policy makers, and industry to better characterise the impact of these response systems to control both disease incidence and outbreaks of foodborne diseases.

Bio

StephanieStephanie Panchision holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Bachelor of Art in International Studies, and a Master of Public Health. After moving from the USA to Alice Springs to pursue opportunities to work in public health and education, Stephanie relocated to Canberra and has been working at the Department of Health and Aged Care in health emergency management and outbreak response. She is currently a PhD candidate at the ANU National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health.
