The Australian National University pays tribute to the tremendous efforts made by women to shape a more equal future and lead us in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic through their contributions.

For International Women’s Day this year, join our panelists as they reflect on the challenges and opportunities in their respective journeys as champions of STEM. The conversation will also emphasise actions needed to support the role of women as agents of change towards a path to a more equal world of work and beyond.

The discussion will be moderated by Dr Merryn McKinnon from the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science (CPAS) at ANU. Merryn will be joined by the following panel members:

• Dr Amita Bansal, National and International award winner, an academic scientist, lecturer and a passionate science advocate from the ANU Medical School
• Dr Kiara Bruggeman, Lecturer, biomedical engineer, researcher, and scientist at ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science
• Associate Professor Aparna Lal, Senior Fellow at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health at ANU and convenor of the Master of Public Health course on Human Health, Environment and Climate Change.
