A fantastic fundraising effort by residents of Bruce Hall, one of ANU’s residential halls, has raised $7,000 for NIMHR at just the half way point of their 500km 3-day bike ride from Dubbo to Canberra.

The riders have created a year-long campaign they call Protect Your Head, which is aimed at raising awareness of mental health issues, culminating in this bike ride they call the Tour de Bruce. Their efforts have been covered in local media.

From a community of 300, they have put together a team of 15 people to complete the ride. Some of them didn’t even have bikes at the start of the year. But mental health is a matter that many of them care a lot about and they’ve been training hard to show it.

You can show your support for them and CMHR by making a donation.
