Doing research that matters: scientists can't do it alone

The Dementia Collaborative Research Centres (DCRCs) know how to celebrate 10 years without much fanfare. Since being established in 2006 they have systematically gone about their work funding hundreds of dementia research initiatives while emphasising their collaborative nature and knowledge translation activities. Has anyone ever thought how many people participate in just one example of a DCRC-funded research project?
