March report for Integration and Implementation Sciences

28 February 2019

Research

Gabriele Bammer co-organsed and co-facilitated a workshop entitled “Collaboration and Integration: when are they not needed?” as part of her collaboration in research undertaken by the Collaboration Lab, which is funded by the New Zealand Our Land and Water National Science Challenge. The very successful workshop was held in Lincoln, New Zealand and was attended by researchers, policy makers, end-users, non-governmental organisations and leaders in the Maori community.

Research impact

Gabriele Bammer and Cathy Day are developing a website for the RSPH PopulationHealthXchange which will highlight the ‘how’ of achieving research impact. The website will provide access to resources and case studies showcasing the work of RSPH researchers. Gabriele Bammer and Michelle Banfield organised the second in a series of RSPH seminars on stakeholder engagement.

It also provides information about the journal ‘Environmental Science and Policy’, as well as the Cybernetics Society. Information is also provided on five upcoming conferences, including ITD 2019 and the 2019 Transformations conference. These have all recently been added as resources to the Integration and Implementation Sciences website (https://i2s.anu.edu.au/resources).
