Population health, play and performance
The Population Health Exchange (PHXchange | National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health) are finding novel, effective ways to communicate about population health information. We are developing a series of interactive experiences (games, workshops, and events) to help people understand what population health is, what people working in population health do, and how we can work together to improve population health. This builds on our work with Questacon (find out more about that here: Going viral with Questacon).
Watch this space for information about experiences as they are developed, and results of our research associated with each experience.
Found in Translation
Solving our community’s most challenging problems needs policy makers, researchers, creatives and citizens to work together. This is easier said than done - even in Canberra where we pride ourselves on our knowledge economy and proximity to government. Science-theatre collective Boho Interactive and the ANU PHXchange are together developing a creative way to generate a collaborative space. This is a live game to provide a fun way to learn about existing structures of decision-making in public policy and research, and collaboratively create a third space in which to reimagine them.
The "Found in translation" prototype is making its debut as part of the Uncharted Territory festival, running the 12th and 13th of July. Click here to visit the festival website to learn more.
