Michaela is a Master of Applied Epidemiology (MAE) scholar in the 2023-2024 cohort. Her placement is at the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF).

Michaela' s areas of interest include One Health, zoonotic diseases, animal health, neglected tropical diseases and emerging diseases. She has a background in microbiology and social sciences and holds a Master of International Public Health. Prior to the MAE, she worked in infectious disease surveillance and in data analysis.
