Alfi is a lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing at Universitas Gadjah Mada, and also practices as a clinical psychologist. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology and a Master of Professional Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Universitas Gadjah Mada. Additionally, she is an active member of the management board of the Ikatan Psikolog Klinis Indonesia (Indonesian Clinical Psychologists Association) Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.

She has been involved in various programs focused on raising awareness about mental health issues and reducing the stigma associated with mental illness in communities across Indonesia. Currently, she is pursuing a doctoral degree with a focus on the mental health of young individuals in Indonesia.
