About

Allana is a Master of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology student in the 2026-27 cohort based at Townsville Public Health Unit, Queensland Health. 

Prior to joining the program Allana worked as a Senior Health Promotion officer in Townsville Public Health Unit, working on programs focussed on health equity in remote communities. The focus of these programs was on primordial prevention of ARF and RHD in remote Australia. She brings experience working in and with a variety of communities and stakeholders.  Allana has also worked as research officer at the Translational Health Research Institute at Western Sydney University. 

Her interest areas are in infectious disease, outbreak response and management, and initiatives focussed on health equity.
