About

Genevieve O’Neill joined ANU in 2026 as an applied epidemiologist and Research Fellow with the Pacific Evidence for Informed Policies and Programs+ (PAC‑EVIPP+). Her work focuses on strengthening workforce capacity and supporting evidence-informed decision-making across the Pacific and Southeast Asia.

Genevieve has a background in critical care nursing and over a decade of experience in public health, pandemic preparedness, epidemiology, and international research. She is a graduate of the Australian Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP). Her work has included outbreak investigations, the development of surveillance systems, program evaluation, operational research, and capacity building initiatives. She has contributed to large, multi-centre, investigator-initiated studies and randomised controlled trials across Australia and internationally.
