Lisa is a research officer and PhD candidate within the Neuroimaging Brain Lab group at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health. Lisa’s work as a research officer on the Physical Health in Early and Late Onset Alzheimer’s Disease (PHiELAD) study is aimed at better understanding how physical frailty and brain differences are associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Lisa’s PhD research will examine the associations between body composition and dementia, with a particular focus on differences between early and late-onset Alzheimer’s disease populations.
Lisa completed a Master of Neuroscience (Advanced) at ANU, graduating with Commendation. She has also completed a Master of Studies and a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) at ANU. Prior to joining NCEPH as a research officer, she has held various roles in health data and research over the past 10 years.
