Suji is also a Research Officer with the Department of Applied Epidemiology, where she is involved in a range of infectious disease projects.
Suji’s PhD focuses on the acceptability and impact of “Magic Glasses Mekong”: a school-based educational cartoon package aimed at improving students’ knowledge, attitudes and practices surrounding soil-transmitted helminths and Opisthorchis viverrini in the Lower Mekong Basin. Her thesis is a sub-project of the HELM project (funded by NHMRC e-Asia grant), a multi-component package aimed at eliminating helminths from the Lower Mekong Basin, led by Professor Darren Gray.
Prior to undertaking her PhD, Suji worked as a research assistant with the Department of Global Health, NCEPH. She has also been involved with research at the ANU School of Psychology, and the AIHW.
