About
Nicole is a public health systems professional with over a decade of experience leading technical programs in both communicable and noncommunicable disease areas. Since completing a Master of Public Health, she has worked in different roles at the nexus of monitoring and evaluation, health systems research and policy. Currently she is undertaking health systems research at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health at ANU. Her current PhD research is focused on using available routinely collected data to improve health service delivery in communities in Papua New Guinea. Previous research has focused on tuberculosis care in Mongolia.
Nicole has worked across different levels of the World Health Organization (WHO) and within national government agencies, bridging research, policy, and implementation in diverse contexts - from Australia to Mongolia to regional roles. She is driven by building adaptable, collaborative systems that work in the real world - closer to country, closer to people, and grounded in what already exists. Her current research interests are in operational and implementation research supporting local priorities, and making systems change feel possible and sustainable.
