About

Siti Fatimah has worked with national and international NGOs to strengthen maternal and reproductive health programs in Indonesia. Her roles have included Program Coordinator for the USAID MOMENTUM project and Program Officer for the KBPP Pilihan project with Jhpiego, where she led program implementation, technical assistance efforts, supported government engagement, and contributed to policy and system-level improvements. She also served as a staff at the Indonesian Midwives Association, playing a key role as the person in charge of communication with the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM). She holds a Bachelor of Midwifery from Airlangga University, where she also completed her professional midwifery degree and a Master of Public Health with a focus on Reproductive Health from the University of Indonesia.

Her PhD research focuses on community-level health workers and women health. She aims to examine how frontline health workers influence women’s autonomy in reproductive health, with the goal of informing policies that support equitable and women-centered care in Indonesia and similar settings.
