About

Stephanie is a Master of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology (MAE) scholar in the 2026–27 cohort with a placement at Joint Health Command in the Australian Government Department of Defence. 

Prior to commencing the MAE, Stephanie worked in emergency management in operational, evaluation and strategic policy roles, focusing on improving systems, decision-making and outcomes in complex, high-pressure environments. 

Stephanie is interested in the intersection of public health, climate adaptation, emergency management, and national security, and in how epidemiological methods can strengthen preparedness and response to infectious diseases, biosecurity threats and natural hazards.

She holds a Bachelor of Public Health from the University of Canberra as well as qualifications in disaster risk reduction, project management, and public safety.
