Sarah Alland

Student (MAE)

Biography

Sarah is a Master of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology (MAE) scholar in the 2023-2024 cohort. Her field placement is Hunter New England Public Health Unit.  

Prior to the MAE, Sarah worked in various roles at NSW Health including in the Centre for Population Health, the Population Health service at South Western Sydney Local Health District, Health Protection NSW and the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence. She undertook operational and epidemiological roles in the NSW COVID-19 public health emergency response, where she developed a strong interest in field epidemiology and outbreak response.  

Sarah is a graduate of the NSW Public Health Training Program and also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of NSW, a Graduate Diploma in International and Development Economics from the Australian National University and Bachelor of Economic & Social Sciences from the University of Sydney.
