About

Thomas is a Master of Applied Epidemiology (MAE) Scholar in the 2026–27 cohort, currently placed within the Force Health Protection Directorate of the Australian Defence Force.

Prior to commencing the MAE, Thomas gained six years of regulatory experience at Food Standards Australia New Zealand, working across multiple roles. His work included managing high‑severity food recalls, contributing to national food incident and crisis responses, supporting international capacity‑building initiatives, and collaborating with both technical and operational stakeholders.

Thomas is also a graduate in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Canberra. He is driven by a strong commitment to achieving public health impact and has a particular interest in investigating complex health issues and improving population health outcomes.
