Sri Lanka (2017 - 19)

Alcohol is a prime contributor to domestic violence in Sri Lanka, but uptake of support services is low.

Our goal was to support and improve knowledge and uptake of services among families affected.

Our team worked with local stakeholders to co-develop, implement, and evaluate a preschool-based intervention, delivered by preschool teachers and volunteer parents.

We found women who undertook our program significantly increased their their awareness and
willingness to access support services when intimate partner violence occurred.
