Bayesian networks (BNs) are widely used to model complex system in many disciplines including environmental sciences, ecology, engineering, economics, and artificial intelligence. BNs have only recently been used in clinical medicine and public health, but have great potential for supporting interactive and dynamic decision support tools in complex systems and scenarios.
