This engaging workshop will be the first of two events in our second series of Workshops on Mental Health Policies and Suicide Prevention for 2019.

In recent years, there have been several large-scale, community-based efforts aimed at reducing suicide both in Australia and overseas.

This workshop will focus on how to determine whether these efforts are actually effective.

     What strategies can we use to analyse and evaluate these efforts?

     What data is available?

     How can we measure the impact?

A number of on-going Australian and French community-based projects will be presented, along with their methodological approaches. The event will conclude with a roundtable discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of different approaches.

Hosted by the ANU Centre for Mental Health Research, the event features keynote speaker, Professor Karine Chevreul.
