The Road Map for Population Mental Health Research in Europe

Mental illness and brain disorders represent the greatest health burden to Europe: not only for directly afftected individuals, but also for their caregivers and the wider society. The ROAMER project was funded by the European Commission to create a coordinated road map for the promotion and integration of mental health and well-being research across Europe. This was based on a common methodology and conceptual framework that covered the full spectrum of biological, psychological, epidemiological, population health, social and economic aspects of mental health and well-being.

The presentation will present the methodology used and the six priorities identified through the ROAMER project that will aim to close the biggest gaps in mental health research in Europe.
