About
Dewi Amila worked as deputy director for health resources in the Directorate for Health and Community Nutrition, the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas). She has been involved in formulating several main national-level health policy documents since 2009 and coordinated/designed the activities under Bappenas-WHO Indonesia joint analysis for health development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public health majoring in epidemiology and tropical diseases from Diponegoro University (Indonesia) and Master of Science in social epidemiology from University College London (United Kingdom).
She is currently a doctoral candidate at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH) ANU. Her doctoral research focuses on primary health care quality and preventable hospitalisations in Indonesia using both administrative and survey data.
