Dr Claire Zammit is a postdoctoral researcher at the Australian National University (ANU), working within Yardhura Walani's Culture & Wellbeing team and contributing to research that supports the health, cultural connection, and holistic wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people. She completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne, where her research focused on cancer prevention, cervical cancer elimination, implementation science, and health equity. Claire has extensive experience in community-engaged and mixed-methods research, particularly in improving access to cancer screening and other health services for priority populations. Her work is driven by a commitment to ensuring health systems are accountable, accessible, inclusive, and responsive to community needs
