Monica Gendi was awarded her PhD in social psychology from the University of Newcastle in 2020. Her PhD research examined the role of regret in the relation between the need for cognitive closure and mental health. Monica is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the Centre for Mental Health Research at the Australian National University. She is working on the LifeTrack Project, an NHMRC-funded Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies project investigating transitions from suicidal ideation to suicide attempts or remission.
