About
Emma Spinks is in her final year at the Australian National University (ANU) studying a Bachelor of Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Australian Indigenous Studies). She is a proud Palawa woman who was born and raised on the North-West coast of Lutruwita/Tasmania. Emma was awarded a Kambri Scholarship in 2022 by the ANU Tjabal Centre and hence moved to Ngunnawal & Ngambri Country/Canberra to commence her undergraduate study.
She is working as a Research Assistant on the Where We Belong study led by Dr Sarah Bourke.

Research interests
Emma is interested in researching how wellbeing and mental health outcomes for Mob can be improved. She is also passionate about increasing accessibility to mental health support for people in rural/regional areas.
