Dr Miranda Chilver is a Research Fellow at Yardhura Walani and holds a PhD in Psychology (NeuRA/UNSW) and a Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours (UNSW), with interests in neurological markers of mental wellbeing and scalable mental health interventions. She currently works on the Yakaawya Purrary Study investigating holistic health and wellbeing in young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Her prior work at the National Centre of Epidemiology and Population Health included carrying out evaluations of Australia's National mental healthcare services provided under Medicare, including evaluations of Better Access and Eating Disorder Medicare items. This research has served to improve equity in access to mental healthcare in Australia.
