About
Miriam is the head of the Cardiovascular, Diabetes and Kidney Unit at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. Miriam has nearly 20 years of experience as a health information manager and epidemiologist and has led a number of complex projects at jurisdictional, national and international levels.
Miriam has a strong interest in use of administrative health data for improving reporting on chronic conditions, and her doctorate research will focus on addressing critical measurement gaps in population health monitoring of cardiovascular disease using linked data.
