About
Mikayla is a non-Indigenous researcher, living, working, and creating on the lands of the Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation. She holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Monash University. She has experience across a range of areas, including lung and cervical cancer screening, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family and community safety, digital health, implementation science, and monitoring and evaluation.
Mikayla is a qualitative and mixed methods early career researcher. She is passionate about meaningful equity and accountable health systems and enjoys being involved in collaborative and holistic approaches to addressing health and wellbeing.
Mikayla currently works as a research officer at Yardhura Walani supporting a range of projects including Sestaman: An Indigenous evaluation of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.
