About

Nilakshi is a PhD candidate at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Public Health

Nilakshi was awarded a Master of International Public Health and Bachelor of Science (Hons) from the University of Sydney.

Nilakshi brings over a decade of experience in public health research to her PhD candidature. Nilakshi’s research focuses on improving the quality and acceptability of health services for diverse and disadvantaged population groups.

Nilakshi’s PhD program seeks to address knowledge, practice and policy gaps in healthcare provision to people living with multiple chronic conditions (multimorbidity). She will use a mixed methods approach with an intersectionality lens to further this program of work. As a person with lived experience of multimorbidity herself, Nilakshi’s work offers a unique perspective to this field of study.
