Epidemiology of suicidal behaviour

Research at CMHR is identifying the role of specific risk factors for suicide. These include: stigma, lack of help seeking, relationship breakdown, and social fragmentation / disconnection. Researchers including PhD students are testing theoretical frameworks of suicide, testing models of help seeking behaviour, developing innovative online interventions, developing better measures of suicide risk and examining the role of social media in identifying and reducing suicidal behaviour in the community.
