Given the high and growing toll of youth suicide in Australia, there is an urgent need for better methods to detect suicide risk in young people aged 16-21. This project will develop new screening tools to identify adolescents who are at risk for suicide or psychological distress. The goal of this project is to increase our ability to implement safe, acceptable screening programs for young people that can better detect those at risk of suicide and link them to appropriate care.

We are currently recruiting young people aged 14 to 17 years-old and living in Australia to participate in an online survey. The survey will help us to find the most useful questions to safely and quickly ask young people about distress and suicide. For more information please click here
