About

The Statistical Methods in Large Scale Epidemiology research group leads epidemiological research projects and supports research groups/themes across CEPP, ensuring that the most appropriate and effective methods are applied to address important research questions.

Our team of experts specialises in a diverse array of analytical techniques and statistical methods, offering in-depth knowledge and expertise in methodology and biostatistics. This expertise ensures that CEPP research is grounded in rigorous statistical practices, leading to high-quality, impactful results.

The group engages widely with key government and non-government policy agencies (ABS, AIHW, Cancer Council, National Heart Foundation) and international bodies.

Group members play a major role in curriculum development and teaching at the ANU, including teaching postgraduate biostatistics and epidemiology courses, development of modules and tailored workshops, design of intensive short courses, undergraduate research supervision for external agencies and formal/informal mentoring.

Our research expertise encompasses the following areas:

  • Applied biostatistics
  • Statistical methods
  • Analytical tools
