About
Building on a successful 2024 Future Research Talent (FRT) placement from the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), this project will investigate the burden, patterns, and determinants of multimorbidity among adults in India using nationally representative datasets, including the Longitudinal Ageing Study in India (LASI Wave-1). The project will also systematically examine existing educational, behavioural, and digital health interventions aimed at preventing and managing multimorbidity in low- and middle-income settings.
The FRT fellow will contribute to data analysis, evidence synthesis, and development of policy-relevant recommendations to strengthen integrated chronic disease prevention and management strategies in India. The project aligns with our broader India–Southeast Asia multimorbidity research program and complements an ongoing PhD project focused on AI-driven personalised nutrition and lifestyle interventions for multimorbid populations.
The placement will provide hands-on training in epidemiological analysis, implementation-oriented public health research, scientific writing, and policy translation, with opportunities for manuscript development and future research collaboration.
