About

This project aims to build and empirically evaluate a cutting-edge statistical model for more accurate estimation of key health risk factors and outcomes in sparsely sampled regions of Australia, in order to increase the power of existing data to inform program and policy development. These methods draw strength from larger data collections such as the Census to inform more targeted data collections such as Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Indigenous health and social surveys.
