AusPathoGen aims to reduce the impact of infectious diseases on public health by improving pathogen characterisation and optimising responses through large-scale integration of pathogen genomics, epidemiological data and surveillance data at the population health level.

The study involves meaningful collaborations between researchers, policymakers, clinicians, child health organisations, and importantly, young people, to co-design the research.

The Breastfeeding Economics and Environment group focuses on economic aspects of breastfeeding, the valuation and regulation of markets in mothers' milk, and the impact of suboptimal breastfeeding on the environment.
